Origin and history of the Parson Russell Terrier
In 1819 the Reverend John Russell bought a small terrier named Trump from a milkman and from her developed a tenacious, energetic terrier with the stamina and intelligence to hunt foxes. Recognised in 1990 as the «Parson Jack Russell Terrier», its name was adjusted to the current form in 1999. It is brave, clever and very active.
