A tracking-type scent hound from Slovakia, bred to track deer and hunt wild boar. Most researchers consider it a descendant of the Hungarian Greyhound, the Brandlbracke (Austrian Black and Tan Hound) and the Polish Greyhound. It is the only scent hound developed in Slovakia and was declared a national breed. Calm at home and good with children, but protective and somewhat stubborn.
