It covers personal injury, damage to property and consequential losses that your dog or cat accidentally causes to other people, up to €300,000 (€500,000 a year with RC Top). It also includes legal defence in civil and criminal proceedings and any bonds you are required to post.

Yes. Third-party liability insurance is sold separately, from €25 a year. The policy is annual, renews automatically and you can cancel it by giving 30 days' notice.
